Training: Dr. Madeline Lehrer earned her undergraduate degree at Penn State University. She received her doctorate in School Psychology from Rutgers University in New Jersey. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at UC Davis Medical Center in the CAARE Diagnostic and Treatment Center and the Early Psychosis Program. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Front Range Treatment Center specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Dr. Lehrer is Certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Clinical Expertise: Dr. Lehrer specializes in treating child trauma, self-injury, chronic suicidality, and transdiagnostic emotion regulation difficulties in adults, children, and adolescents, and utilizes evidence-based therapies including DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, Unified Protocol (UP) for emotional disorders, parent-child behavioral interventions, and Motivational Interviewing. Dr. Lehrer also specializes in conducting comprehensive psychological and psycho-educational assessments for adults, children, and adolescents.
